A glass shower door will tend to get dirty quickly. 1) We start with a good cleaning of the shower door

The best way to keep cleaning to a minimum is to pass a raclette daily on the shower door. This helps prevent soap and water stains with minimal effort. However, since this is not always enough, a little help white vinegar heated in the microwave on each window may be necessary. You can dilute it in hot water and add dishwashing detergent for greater effectiveness. Then you will have to spray it on the windows or soak a sponge, some papier journal or a soft cloth of this anti-limescale product before rubbing. Take the opportunity to also do the shower head and faucets with hot vinegar! Leave to act then remember to rinse and dry carefully.

Other natural household products can descale and add shine just as well as chemical cleaning products. Of the leftover lemon or lemon juice can also do the trick against limescale and to add shine. Against limescale deposits on a glass shower, the clay stone is also a good solution.

2) After cleaning, you prevent fogging on your shower door

Since mist is a source of humidity, it can cause stubborn dirt. Ecological and less natural natural products can prevent its formation! This is the case of 90° alcohol which you can add to your alcohol vinegar spray for cleaning. We can also apply glycerin which will have the same effect and which also prevents dust deposits when used to clean furniture. Finally, shaving foam applied then wiped with a dry microfiber cloth can also be used for this purpose. The best part: each of these solutions can be used on your bathroom mirrors.

3) How to limit water splashes to limit the appearance of stains?

  • Apply car polish to protect and reduce the number of cleanings required
  • Do you fit? WD-40 to slow down the formation of limescale (avoid near plastic joints)
  • Pass a rain repellent (for example those for motorcycle helmet visors)
