This is nothing new: chewing gum sticks. And hello the damage when you have to take it off your clothes ! Indeed, what a nasty surprise to discover that when you sat down in the metro, chewing gum stuck to your buttock. Here are 3 tips that will help you remove chewing gum from your clothes.
- The cold takes off the chewing gum
Use an ice cube in a plastic bag or tissue, and rub it on the gum to harden it, then remove the gum using a spatula. You can also put the entire garment in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer, but be aware that this risks seriously damaging your garment.
- Used tablet to remove chewing gum
Using a computer duster (the kind you use for your computer keyboard), spray the other side of the garment. As with freezing, this will harden the gum and you will be able to remove it more easily.
Apply a layer of your usual nail polish remover directly to the gum. This will then dissolve thanks to the product. But be very careful, because this method is risky for your delicate fabrics, so consider testing it on an inconspicuous area of your garment.
