It will make it more effective and soften and soften the laundry. The secret of these different recipes is the starch which effectively fights against wrinkles. After washing, grab your ironing board, your steam generator or a hot iron soleplate and get ready to masterfully smooth out stubborn creases on shirts!

Simple to use, these products must be put in a spray bottle to spray on clothes in a small quantity before ironing with a hot iron. We therefore do not put them not directly into the iron. Only demineralized water is suitable for a scale-free tank and an unclogged tank! You can preferably store them in the fridge for about a month. Little bonus: you can add a few small drops of an essential oil that you like to make your clothes smell good. Don’t put too much so as not to stain or damage your delicate fabrics.

1) Rice cooking water, a very effective ironing liquid

When the rice is ready, keep its cooking water. Then heat it for about a quarter of an hour. You will see a sort of liquid jelly forming. Dilute this same jelly in 10 liters of water and your mixture will be ready to be poured into the spray bottle.

2) With potatoes

Grate about a kilo of potato. Then put everything in a colander and let the potatoes drain. Here, you have to collect the starch that bleeds with a salad bowl placed under the strainer. You can squeeze the potatoes from time to time to help extract the potato juice. Then let it dry until you obtain a whitish powder that you can dilute in water. Do not add more than 3 tablespoons of this starch per liter of water to avoid the cardboard effect or discoloration of the linen.

3) Corn starch

Make a mixture of 3 tablespoons of corn starch (for example cornstarch) and a liter of water. Before using it, remember to mix the ingredients well.

4) Another ironing liquid from corn starch

Make a mixture consisting of one liter of water to which you will add 1/5 liter of white vinegar, 20 g of starch and 1 tablespoon of glycerin.
