In the Do It Yourself era, we are often tempted to try to make our own cosmetic products to take care of our body. Here are some ideas for natural scrubs to make at home, from the most economical to the most original. Guaranteed not tested on animals!
Exfoliation helps regenerate the skin and eliminate dead cells. It makes it soft and silky, as long as you don’t overdo it: once or twice a week is enough to have perfect skin.
The preparation is very simple: mix all the ingredients well in a bowl, then apply to the skin.
For application: always on slightly damp or dry skin, using circular movements and massaging for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. It is important to massage from the bottom to the top of the body to promote circulation. And if you don’t use it all, you can always store it in a closed jar.
1 – The scrub for lazy people on vacation:
Simply take a handful of sand from the beach and mix it with your sunscreen or moisturizer. The most economical solution!
2 – Essential oils with a thousand virtues:
Each essential oil has its own qualities, it’s up to you to choose what you need (draining, purifying effect, etc.). Here is an example:
You need:
– 3 tablespoons of coarse salt
– 4 tablespoons of sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon of liquid honey
– 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil
3 – Vegetable oils, shower gel or shea butter for a gentler scrub:
To combine with sugar, coarse salt or almond powder. Please note that a “thicker” exfoliating agent like coarse salt will be more aggressive for the skin, so it should not be overused to avoid dryness and irritation.
4 – If you lack equipment:
Sugar, honey and olive oil are enough to make a scrub. It is also suitable for the face and scalp.
You can play with the ingredients: lemon, green tea or even lavender… depending on your needs, your desires, or what you have in your cupboards.
