It’s not easy to clean your teeth thoroughly when you wear braces! Your worst nightmare: brown spots in the middle of your teeth then released from their shackles, in the same place where your braces were placed? Don’t worry, that won’t happen. Here are some tips for whitening your teeth while keeping your braces.
1/ Use an electric toothbrush
More than anyone else, you must have impeccable oral hygiene. Thorough tooth brushing is mandatory. It is often recommended if you wear dental appliances to opt for an electric toothbrush, which cleans deeply.
2/ Rinse your mouth with water after each meal
No need for mouthwash to gargle! Water will do just fine. After each meal, rinse your mouth then brush your teeth.
3/ Use brushes
To clean between your braces, use brushes usually used to clean the spaces between the teeth, which you are not exempt from doing!
4/ Take baking soda cures
Bicarbonate is known to be a natural abrasive and whitening agent. Use it wisely but not more than once a week:
1/ Mix a little toothpaste with 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 teaspoon of water.
2/ Brush your teeth for about two minutes with the paste obtained.
3/ Carry out this treatment once a week until you obtain the desired results. Then limit treatment to once a month or every 2 months for the most fragile teeth.
5/ Use dental floss
To remove tartar plaques that develop under your appliance, floss critical areas.
