Okay ladies… this is a serious time! The hair is back and the war will still be just as fierce this summer. Like any good soldier who fights this scourge, we know that the razor is a weapon that is easy to use, transport and find. But like many weapons, the razor leaves marks: irritations, red bumps, dry and rough skin… Here are some tips for perfect legs and hair that stands in check.
1) Cleaning the blade
A good soldier maintains his weapon to keep it operational. We know that you cannot keep a razor forever, but cleaning the blade with baby oil (or rubbing alcohol) after use will keep the blade in good condition for longer and remove bacteria. A well-cleaned blade is one that produces fewer red bumps. Also, we do not hesitate to change the blade after a few uses, otherwise irritations will certainly be present.
2) To quickly soothe the skin
DAMN! You have red bumps. Don’t panic! Mix equal parts water and milk in a bowl and apply with a cloth, tapping onto irritated areas. Rapid relief guaranteed.
3) An ally that we did not suspect in this war
Conditioner is a cream of choice for hair removal. The razor will glide better on the skin than with soap or shower gel. This way, hair removal will be gentler and the skin will not be dried out, quite the contrary!
Little reminder: Bend your knee when waxing to avoid cuts.
4) Act in the event of an outage
Put a touch of lip balm on the cut to stop the bleeding and soothe the skin.
5) Exfoliate
Exfoliation is important for two reasons: to have soft legs and to remove dead skin. With a mixture made with one dose of sugar for two of oil, we also have even softer and nourished legs without being attacked. The best thing is to shave as usual, exfoliate and then shave again.
