9 tips to make life easier in the kitchen

Save it for later!

We don’t know about you, but we are really addicted to baking soda! It is always with regret that we see our pot run out and we obviously have to buy more quickly so as not to run out (yes, yes… a bit like a drug). It must be said that it can do everything and that there is always a way to learn new ways to use it and therefore be surprised by its effectiveness. Very versatile, this sodium bicarbonate is one of the best ecological cleaning products. But today, we are talking to you about its uses in the kitchen first for successful recipes and then for cleaning!

Baking tips for your cooking recipes

1) More tender meat easily

As soon as you start cooking, add two tablespoons of this powder per liter of water to ensure that the meat will melt in your mouth.

2) When cooking dried vegetables

These need time before softening and being perfectly cooked. Bicarbonate helps reduce the cooking time needed. When you soak them in a liter of water the day before cooking, add a tablespoon of bicarbonate. The next day, simply rinse them. Then sprinkle half a teaspoon of bicarbonate (this will be more than enough) for each liter of water used to cook them.

3) Make the cakes rise and bring lightness

This doesn’t work for brioches (it’s not a substitute for baker’s yeast), but it’s just brilliant for making cake dough rise. Count one teaspoon of bicarbonate for 500 g of flour.

4) Beat the eggs until stiff

To make the whites rise and have a foam that is as firm as it is light, avoid the salt and instead add a pinch of bicarbonate
