With winter and the sometimes biting cold, the skin loses a little suppleness and becomes dry or even rough like crocodile skin. And if the products offered in supermarkets can help a little, they are nonetheless composed of parabens and silicones which give the impression of beautiful, soft skin when it is not the case. With a few inexpensive ingredients like cocoa butter which soothes and is an excellent antioxidant and shea butter which softens and regenerates the skin in depth, you can save your damaged epidermis and make it soft.
What you need:
- A small silicone mold in the shape of your choice (silicone molds are easier to use for unmolding)
- 35 g of vegetable cocoa butter
- 15 g of vegetable shea butter
- 5 drops of geranium essential oil and 5 drops of orange essential oil
The steps:
1) In a container, place the portions of cocoa butter and shea butter.
2) Melt the butters in a bain-marie. This operation may take a few minutes.
3) When they have melted, remove the container from the pan, being careful not to burn yourself. And add the drops of essential oils.
4) Put the mixture in the mold and reserve this preparation in the fridge so that it solidifies. This can take around two hours.
5) To use it, simply use the heat of your hands or skin by lightly massaging the bar to partially melt it.
