Cleaning the burners with soda crystals
L’combination of hot water and soda crystals is very effective for cleaning and degreasing gas burners without the slightest effort, whatever their composition (cast iron, etc.). (Be careful, soda crystals can cause the aluminum parts to blacken.) These crystals are also even more effective for degreasing and cleaning than vinegar or bicarbonate. It is therefore the perfect solution for very dirty and clogged burners! To use them, heat 500 ml of water in a saucepan. Then, slide your burners into a resealable freezer bag and cover with hot water and 1 tablespoon of soda crystals. Close the bag, shake it to dissolve the white powder and leave it overnight. All you have to do is scrub, rinse and dry everything the next day.
