Always check if your sofa cover is removable. This way, the covers can be put in the washing machine to remove dirt. The tip below will still be useful for dirt on the trim, however.

- A vacuum cleaner (if possible with a brush attachment for better scrubbing)
- Baking soda
- A brush
Steps for cleaning your sofa:
1) First of all, sprinkle your baking soda generously on your sofa. Don’t forget the armrests !
2) Then you need to brush the sofa to better penetrate the powder into the fibers of the textile. This will allow better absorb odors and refresh the fabric.
3) Let it work all night if you can. If you have pets and you’re afraid they’ll get powder everywhere (or simply don’t have the patience to wait that long), leave it on for at least an hour.
4) Finally, vacuum your couch to suck up all the powder.
