And of course, if it works very well on burns, this remedy proves masterfully effective on sunburn. Let us remember, however, that this is a photosensitizing oil. This means that you should not expose yourself after applying it. Massage the sunburn with this natural product in the evening and rinse the next day to avoid burning your skin.

5) Plant hydrosols useful in case of sunburn

Plant hydrosols are quite similar to essential oils. On the other hand, they are less concentrated and much gentler on the skin. This makes them easier to use with the whole family. Plus, you can keep them in the fridge for extra freshness. In summer, you will surely enjoy thechamomile hydrosol which, among other virtues, helps relieve sunburn. Very versatile too, thelavender hydrosol helps promote healing of the skin after a severe sunburn. Spray or apply with a washable cotton pad to the areas to be treated!
