Save it for later!

In terms of care, feet are often forgotten even though they support us all year round! Daily life is a tough ordeal and plantar pain quickly appears with its share of calluses. It must be said that we are not doing them any favors by opting for unsuitable shoes for reasons of fashion. And it’s not just high heels! Too narrow, too high, too big, bad soles, synthetic materials, poor support… Our shoes literally end up on us break your feet ! Over time (and the pressure of repeated friction), unsightly corns and calluses appear and they can be annoying when walking, which in turn creates aggravating repeated pressure. Whether it’s on your heels, under your big toe or between your toes, here’s how to get rid of partridge’s eye without a podiatrist or pedicure.

What you need:

  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml of water
  • 6 aspirin tablets
  • Cling film

Remove corns and calluses step by step:

1) In a bowl, pour the water then the lemon juice.

2) Then add the aspirin tablets and be sure to crush them well in the liquids. Form a paste with these three ingredients which will soften hardened areas on the soles of the feet and toes.

3) Apply this mixture to the areas to be treated.

4) Cover with cling film then a towel and leave to act for a good fifteen minutes. The film will create heat and help the treatment to penetrate better to act.

5) Remove the poultice, scrub gently with a pumice stone if necessary. Finally, hydrate well with a rich moisturizer.

Your feet will be soft like a baby’s. Goodbye painful dead skin and unpleasant skin thickening, hello healthy skin!

For example, there are other natural remedies for corns on painful feet. You can apply a few drops of castor oil on the corn or callus and cover with a bandage. Then repeat daily. Alternatively, you can also dip a cotton ball in cider vinegar and apply it to the affected area. Secure with a bandage and leave to act overnight. However, taking good care of your feet can also make a difference.

Carry out regular home care

Don’t wait for your skin to get damaged and make regular care ! Before any treatment, soak your feet in lukewarm water for 10 to 15 minutes to soften the skin. Also add Epsom salt or apple cider vinegar to your foot bath for a additional soothing effect. Then use a pumice stone or foot file to gently scrub the affected area after soaking. Do not rub too hard to avoid damaging healthy skin. Apply a thick moisturizer or lotion containing urea, salicylic acid, or lactic acid to soften the skin. Wear cotton socks after applying the cream to improve absorption.

Some precautions to follow

Never attempt to cut or slice corns or calluses yourself, as this can lead to infections. Above all, consult a podiatrist or dermatologist if corns or calluses are painful, recurrent or do not respond to home care. Indeed, your health professional will be able to use specific treatments for the elimination of calluses, for example with topical medications, but also offer you custom orthotics to relieve pressure and prevent their recurrence.

How to prevent corns and calluses?

To prevent corns and calluses, wear shoes that fit well, are comfortable and suitable for your feet. Avoid high heels and narrow shoes. Also use cushioning insoles or pads to reduce pressure on sensitive spots on your feet. Also wear socks made of cotton or breathable materials that reduce friction. Additionally, wash and dry your feet thoroughly every day to prevent the buildup of dead skin. Following this, apply moisturizer daily to keep skin supple and prevent skin thickening.
