Clumsy people sometimes dread the moment of preparing the meal or eating it, because they know that they will inevitably end up making a small or big stain… With them, it never fails! And it must be said that although this is often not serious, because the traces will come off quite easily, there are certain foods that we would prefer never, oh ever, to see end up on our favorite t-shirt or our new skirt just bought the day before. That said, there are always solutions to tackle difficult tasks that challenge you and we provide them to you in this article. Guaranteed success!
1) Grease stains
These are formidable stains and it is better to adapt your technique to the type of fabric treated to hope to remove them effectively. On wool, for example, you can apply egg white and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water. For a more persistent stain, apply rubbing alcohol. On other fabrics, you can apply black soap on both sides, kneading to thoroughly soak the fabric and leave for an hour before rinsing.
2) Spice stains such as curry or turmeric
These spices have no equal in seducing our palate, but their stains on our clothes are much less seductive. Once they are there, don’t waste time and act quickly to remove them! Gently rub vegetable glycerin and warm water onto the stain before washing.
3) Beetroot spots
Beetroot has its place in your salads… less so in your wardrobe in the form of a bright spot of color! Against it, only one solution: a mixture of one tablespoon of lemon juice and another of cold water. Mix, apply and leave for a little before rinsing.
4) Tomato stains
Well… especially the sauce in fact which can quickly leave the t-shirts in a catastrophic state! To remove these marks that make you see red, soak them in sparkling water and leave for around twenty minutes before washing your clothing as usual.
5) Jam stains
At the same time, when you think about it, handling stained foods early in the morning while half awake couldn’t end well! To remove jam stains, remove the excess then dab with a cloth soaked in a mixture of water and white vinegar.
6) Cherry spots
Excited by your picking and tasting, you weren’t careful and got yourself covered in stains? Spread lemon juice over it to remove most of the stain and finish by rinsing with hot water! If you’re not in a hurry, you can also let your garment soak overnight in milk then scrub with white vinegar the next day.
