The electronic cigarette has been quite a phenomenon in recent years. Electronic cigarette liquid offers a variety of possibilities that smokers love when looking for a good way to reduce the amount of cigarettes they smoke or who simply want to quit. So of course, like anything new, it raises many questions, but for those who have been freed from their tobacco addiction, it is THE right tool to quit smoking.
However, a minimum of maintenance is important for good durability and when you see the materials in your electronic cigarette box, you know that you have to be careful and that our good old white vinegar will not necessarily be the solution. So, what to do to maintain it? We tell you everything here!
1) Household alcohol for the battery
The latter easily collects dust and dirt so wiping it with a clean cloth after removing the screws and the charger will not be a luxury. For more difficult to reach corners, you can use a cotton swab! On the other hand, if your cigarette is more soiled, it could be interesting to place household alcohol very sparingly on your cloth for more thorough cleaning.
2) Bicarbonate for the atomizer
Since it contains e-liquids, it must be cleaned more regularly in order to avoid mixtures of unpleasant tastes in particular. A quick wipe with a damp cloth can be enough to give it a clean look, but a bath in lukewarm water with a hint of baking soda can also work wonders without breaking the hassle. A few minutes are enough. Then place your atomizer on a paper towel to dry for at least a full day.
3) And for the resistance?
If you smell a burnt taste, it probably comes from the resistance! If your device is new, there may be small residue left from manufacturing. You can then rinse everything carefully with hot water then reassemble everything and do a light dry burning. This technique can also be used when the resistance is dirty after a few uses.
If you’ve already used the whole thing, this taste may be related to something else entirely. The coil may need to be replaced: it is estimated that it should be changed after approximately two weeks or after consuming 30 ml with it. Caught up in your daily life, you have probably forgotten to check the liquid level and since the level is no longer sufficient, the wicks end up heating up in a vacuum and giving that burnt taste, so remember to add enough liquid. Also be careful not to pull on your e-cigarette like a fireman so that the wicks can soak well and choose the right voltage for your device.
