Ironing: 6 tips that make the task easier and remove wrinkles!

Save it for later!

Often, ironing is experienced as a chore and it is a task willingly relegated to the background. The less trained take a dim view of all this and put it out of their minds as often as possible, whereas those for whom it is a daily necessity (often because of a requirement in terms of clothing) work which must be impeccable) do it automatically, without thinking. Finally, there are the iron freaks who iron everything from beautiful cotton shirts to lace panties! These wrinkle-free tips are for everyone, because we all agree on one thing: wrinkled clothes are really not a good look!

1) A lot of things happen before the washing machine even launches!

When we make a machine, we tend to overload the drum to take advantage of the maximum space with as much laundry as possible so as not to have to do multiple washes. However, since the clothes are piled up, there is little chance that they will come out without any wrinkles.

2) Program the machine well.

Also take advantage of the machine’s functions by switching on the “Easy iron” button if there is one and programming a gentler spin at a slower speed (the maximum speed creases the clothes a lot, so even if it is practical , it is better to avoid).

3) After washing, act quickly!

To avoid wrinkling, empty the washing machine as quickly as possible when the wash is finished and shake each item of clothing to remove as many wrinkles as possible and lay them flat while you hang them out. For clothes that are more prone to wrinkles, you might consider drying them on a hanger instead of the drying rack (this really makes a difference for shirts, dresses, and t-shirts).

Those lucky enough to have a dryer can activate the “ready to iron” function so that the laundry comes out a little damp and therefore perfect for easy ironing!

4) Iron in the right direction.

Arrange the garment carefully on the ironing board and work from the center outwards. The sleeves, cuffs and collar come very last. Finally, if you resist a crease, you can opt for a jet of steam or re-moisten the area a little with a spray to relax the fibers before ironing again.
