Stains are an everyday problem that universally annoys us all. It ranges from chewing gum stuck to your butt after sitting at the bus stop to the spilled coffee stain on your break while laughing happily with a colleague or your attempt to raise your wine glass in a mysterious and casual which ended in a bad gesture and bursts of laughter from the person you wanted to seduce. In short, life isn’t easy every day and we don’t want to bother with nasty marks. Here are simple techniques to get rid of them.

1) A stain of chewing gum stuck to clothing

Take an ice cube and apply it to the gum. This will allow it to harden and peel off in one movement.

2) A coffee stain

Soak a cloth with vinegar and wipe it over the stain. Then sprinkle everything with baking soda and scrub everything with a toothbrush soaked in vinegar. Then put everything in the machine.

3) To wine stains

Pour white vinegar on the stain and leave for 15 minutes. Then sprinkle everything with baking soda and scrub with a toothbrush. Put your garment in the machine.

4) The grease stain

On a small greasy stain, you can definitely consider adding a little dishwashing liquid and rubbing the stain before putting it in the washing machine.

On a larger stain or one that is complicated to remove, sprinkle everything with baking soda and leave for 45 minutes until the stain is absorbed. Pour a little dishwashing detergent on the baking soda and scrub everything with a brush soaked in white vinegar. Put your garment in the machine.

5) A stain on your carpet

Mix two parts white vinegar, one part dishwashing liquid and two parts water. Soak a cloth with this preparation. Dab and rub the stain to absorb it as you go. Rinse with a little water and absorb as much liquid as possible with a paper towel or cloth. Let dry.

6) A food stain

In a bowl, mix one part dishwashing detergent and 2 parts hydrogen peroxide. Transfer this solution to a spray bottle. Soak the stain with water using a cloth or paper towel then spray your solution onto the stain. Leave on for 10 minutes before going over with your cloth or paper towel soaked in water to rinse. Let everything dry.
