We’re not going to lie, cleaning and you have never really been true love. If for some people “cleaning things” can have a relaxing effect and serve as a moment of meditation (this is not wrong), for you it is a waste of time that you could devote to something else. And between us, you find it a bit heavy. But is it all lost? No. There are simple actions that will make your life easier (and the house cleaner).
1 — Clean the oven? Certainly not
Cleaning your oven is tedious. The problem is that if it is not cleaned regularly, an oven can become clogged very quickly. Fat and sugars heated repeatedly stick and turn black. Certain burnt particles can then detach from the walls, and that is harmful! This is why if you are a little lazy, it is necessary to do EVERYTHING so that you don’t have to do it. And your best friend for that is aluminum foil.
Simply place a sheet of aluminum foil or baking paper at the bottom of the oven when using it. This will be used to catch any food or sauce residue that has escaped from the dish.
2 — Keep shower walls clean
The last time you had people over, remember that awkward moment when you showed them the bathroom. Never again. How to go about it? All you need to do is put a teaspoon of lemon essential oil in a glass of white vinegar. Then scrub the windows every two weeks or so. (Then invite people back).
3 — Put an end to the dirty broom
When you sweep, you pick up dirt. That’s kind of the goal. The problem is that you deposit so much dirt with each movement. For what ? Because your broom is a real dust nest. Try not to leave your brooms on the floor: you will unnecessarily damage the brush, making sweeping more laborious and, above all, less effective. Hang them or place the brush upwards.
4 — Baking paper in the fridge
Cleaning the fridge is a bit like cleaning the oven, it’s not very pleasant. To avoid having to do this, simply place a baking sheet in each of the compartments before placing the food (or beer) inside. If something leaks (milk, sauce, hummus?), you will just have to put another piece of baking paper. Perfect for those who have never liked scratching.
5 — Cleaning the microwave, very little for you
Just like your oven and refrigerator, you rarely (if ever) clean your microwave. However, it is essential. It’s not like you use it every day! To do this, prepare a bowl of water and add lemon juice to it. Then heat for 2 minutes in the microwave: the water vapor created by this mixture will soften the residue and facilitate their elimination.
