The rug is always a great plus for decoration. Not content with brightening up the room, it brings a significant amount of extra comfort… too much perhaps? By spending too much time on the latter, it becomes covered with stains, each more difficult to remove than the other. Here are our amazing solutions for cleaning every type of stain on carpet.
1) The morning coffee stain on the carpet
Were you not fully awake and made a disaster? Remove as much moisture as possible with paper towels or a cloth then soak the stain in beer. Rub a little and wipe dry. Repeat until the stain disappears.
2) A grease stain on a carpet
Place paper towel on the stain and generously soak it with hairspray. Leave on for 30 minutes.
3) A mustard stain
Make a paste with salt, lemon juice and cold water. Apply this to the stain and let it dry. Rub with a knife to remove everything.
4) A wine stain
Remove excess liquid with paper towels. Sprinkle with baking soda until it dries then pour sparkling water over it. Wipe. Otherwise, try… shaving foam by following the steps listed in this link.
5) A juice stain
Apply shaving cream to the stain and leave for 10 minutes. Then rub gently with a damp sponge.
6) A stain of tomato sauce
Whether on a carpet or any other surface, we hate these stains! Pour a good dose of white vinegar on the stain. Clean and scrub with dishwashing liquid and water.
7) An oil stain on a carpet
Soak the area to be treated with soapy water or use an old toothbrush with dishwashing liquid to scrub the stain. Wipe, apply water then wipe again until dry.
8) A marker stain
