Leather is really beautiful, but we must admit that it quickly loses its splendor when it becomes damaged or dirty. And unfortunately it doesn’t take much for this very noble material to give our accessories a neglected appearance (bag, shoes, belt, etc.) and for our objects to take on an old-fashioned appearance that we could do without. Fortunately, there are techniques to revive it and give it a well-deserved makeover. That’s what’s on the agenda with this easy-to-make mixture of highly effective homemade leather cleaner.
What you need to make a leather cleaner:
60 ml d’huile d’olive
60 ml of white vinegar
10 drops of essential oil of your choice (e.g. lemon)
Toothbrush
Soft cloth (microfiber cloth type)
How to maintain and clean leather?
1) In a container, pour the olive oil.
2) Next, add the white vinegar.
3) Finish with the drops of essential oil and mix well.
4) Soak the toothbrush with product and rub the entire surface to be treated well with circular movements. (Test first on a hidden part.)
5) Then use a soft cloth to remove the excess and wipe off any remaining dirt. Let it dry and enjoy the newfound beauty of your leather accessories and clothing: they are (almost) like new. This tip really helps revive them! We can’t do better to take care of dirty leather and ensure its longevity!

Other tips for leather care:
Cleaning leather is never easy, and that’s why this little recipe to make it shine grandma’s style is very appreciated. However, you can also clean leather with make-up remover milk or baby milk. A glycerin soap (based on glycerin) can remove stains while nourishing the leather. For suede or nubuck, a rubber will be preferable. And for dusting a leather bag, a leather jacket or shoes or furniture (the leather sofa), a chamois can also be a good choice. A banana peel can also offer express cleaning and polishing your leathers. Shine guaranteed and dirt eliminated!
