5) Vaseline and plastic wrap

Enjoy get out of the shower (where pores are more flexible) to apply vaseline to your nose and cover with cling film. Then apply a warm towel over it until it cools to room temperature. Pinch the blackheads to make them come out (they almost come out on their own with this technique). Above all, use two tissues rather than your nails which put bacteria on that area and therefore do more harm than good. If you have new clean glovesthis may also do the trick. Finally, rinse everything off, clean and moisturize. Repeat twice a month.

6) Toothpaste, baking soda and toothbrush

Apply a warm cloth on your nose for a few moments to soften the pores. In a bowl, mix half a spoonful of baking soda and the same amount of toothpaste. Adjust the texture with a few drops of water if the dough is too thick. Apply everything to your nose and rub gently with the toothbrush. Rinse well, then moisturize.

7) Cinnamon and oatmeal

Once or twice a month (no more), mix a good teaspoon of oat flour with the same amount of cinnamon powder and add a little hot water to make a thick paste. Apply this on your face in circular motions for a minute and then rinse off with cold water.

Cinnamon can create a feeling of discomfort on the skin. So, don’t use it alone and do not try to add more to make the mask more effective. Otherwise, it can “burn” the skin.

8) Exfoliating treatment with oats, honey, yogurt and olive oil

Mix 20 g of oats, 10 g of natural yogurt, 15 g of honey and 10 ml of olive oil. Massage this mixture into your skin for a minute or two. This scrub will unclog blackheads, remove excess sebum, tighten pores and erase dead cells. Then leave for 5 minutes. If your skin is sensitive, skip the scrub part and go straight to the mask! Remove it with a cloth dampened with hot water.

To prevent the appearance of blackheads and whiteheads on the skin while promoting healthier and brighter skin, it is essential to adopt a combination of regular care, good eating habits and simple actions to limit triggering factors. A balanced diet plays in particular a crucial role in skin health. Foods rich in antioxidants, such as red fruits, green vegetables and nuts, for example, help protect the skin against inflammation that causes clogged pores. Conversely, excess sugar or saturated fats can stimulate overproduction of sebum, thus promoting blackheads. Good hydration is also essential for beautiful, clear skin. Drinking enough water helps eliminate toxins and keeps the skin supple and healthy.

Daily skin care is equally important. A gentle facial cleansing morning and evening helps eliminate sebum, pollution and impurities accumulated during the day while weekly exfoliation (or once or twice every month for sensitive skin) helps to unclog pores by removing dead cells. It is also essential to use products adapted to your skin type and non-comedogenic (which do not promote clogged pores). A homemade treatment mask can also be a good addition. Finally, avoid frequently touching your face with dirty hands limits the proliferation of bacteria on the surface of the skin.

Other simple but effective actions can make a big difference. For example, change your pillowcases and towels regularly. Indeed, they quickly accumulate bacteria and product residues which can lead to clogged pores. Also think about clean your makeup brushes properly at least once a week. Furthermore, apply a light, non-comedogenic sunscreen daily to protect the skin without suffocating it, and even more so when exposed to the sun and every time you go outside. Finally, learn to manage your stress. Stress hormones, such as cortisol, can actually increase sebum production and worsen the condition of your skin.
