Of all ecological household products, white vinegar is one of the most recognized. Outstanding multi-use, it is both deodorizer, anti-limescale and degreaser. However, using it alone is not always enough. It is often necessary to “improve” it a little to boost its cleaning effectiveness. Heating it is a first tip that is often quite sufficient against stains left by greasy materials. Otherwise, you can macerate citrus peels (lemon, orange, grapefruit, etc.) for two weeks. This will combine the effects of this powerful cleaning product with the degreasing properties of citrus fruits. After filtration, all you have to do is transfer it to a spray bottle and spray where necessary.

The highly degreasing multi-purpose cleaner

The basic recipe consists of diluting 60 g of Marseille soap in a liter of water and adding 6 drops of lemon essential oil. However, you can do even better! For this homemade recipe, melt 1 tablespoon of Marseille soap flakes and 3 tablespoons of black soap in 500 ml of hot water. These two soaps will provide cleaning, stain removing and degreasing power. For even more effectiveness, consider adding the juice of half an organic lemon which will provide an invigorating smell in addition toimprove degreasing efficiency of the recipe. However, it should be avoided for use on granite, marble or even wood. You can use this product in the kitchen, but also for all surfaces in the house requiring degreasing: floor, sink, table, bathtub, etc.

Want to make a product degreaser ready to use in three minutes flat ? So, gather some soda crystals, citrus essential oils and a sprayer! Preferably, take a glass bottle which will better support the natural ingredients that you will put in it. In practice, it will suffice here to dilute 30 g of soda crystals with 500 ml of hot water. Then, to complete the action of your natural degreaser, add 20 drops of lemon or orange essential oil (for the degreaser side) or tea tree essential oil (or tea tree, an antifungal disinfectant). ). Spray this maintenance product and leave to act for at least 15 minutes. Leave on overnight for greater effectiveness on difficult oily marks.

The vinegar and alcohol degreaser spray for the kitchen

For this recipe, we don’t bother! Simply pour 300ml of water, 180ml of white vinegar, 5ml of alcohol foam and 15 drops of essential oil of your choice directly into a clean spray bottle. Then, close your bottle and shake it carefully. It’s ready! Without rinsing, this product can be sprayed on the surface to be cleaned, then rubbed with a microfiber cloth or sponge. Remember to shake the bottle before each use. Your degreaser spray will keep for approximately 6 months.

Bicarbonate scouring cream: an essential degreaser for the kitchen

No need to rush to the supermarket to buy scouring cream. To save your hobs, grills or ovens, simply use baking soda! To do this, mix this natural powder with water to make a thick paste. Then, apply this mixture to the surfaces to be cleaned and rub. Warning: this product does not keep well. If you don’t plan to keep it in an airtight container, it’s better to make it to order.

The special vinegar-bicarbonate oven degreaser

To pamper your oven, mix 60 grams of bicarbonate with 60 drops of citrus essential oil. Sprinkle it all over the areas to be cleaned. Then cover with vinegar by spraying (about 6 tablespoons). Leave on all night. During the chemical reaction, the products will foam and degrease the oven by mechanical action. This will help loosen it. The next day, all you have to do is scrub. If necessary, use water and dish soap to remove excess natural degreaser.
