When we think of imperfections, we immediately imagine a face studded with small pimples. However, acne can also affect the body and be found on the neck, décolleté, back, etc. To combat these little red or white pimples, tea tree essential oil is a great classic. It is antibacterial and anti-microbial and is unrivaled in calming redness and swelling while treating at the source. This is why it is the most important ingredient in this scrub which softens the skin and gently treats it to treat and prevent imperfections on the face or body. Not to spoil anything, it is an easy, natural and inexpensive preparation. Who said that finding healthier skin only comes at the cost of expensive and chemical products?
What you need:
- 4 to 7 drops of tea tree essential oil
- Good raw honey (a natural anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-microbial cleanser)
- 80 g of fine sea salt (an exfoliant to remove dead skin and gently dry out spots)
Good to know: if you are allergic to tea tree essential oil, you can use other essential oils that are effective against acne as a replacement.
How to make a tea tree scrub?
1) First, carefully mix the sea salt with the essential oil.
2) When done, gradually add your honey, mixing carefully to obtain the right consistency. It must be a soft scrub without being too liquid or diluted to maintain the exfoliating properties of the salt. It’s ready!
3) Transfer to a previously sterilized airtight jar if you don’t plan to use everything.
How to use it?
It is applied to face or body on damp skin using circular massages. No need to attack the skin of the face by rubbing very hard, the scrub is effective without that! Remember to avoid the eye area. Rinse well and pat the skin dry with a towel. Repeat two to three times a week. In addition, use natural mask recipes against acne and imperfections to deeply care for the skin without damaging it.
