Cellulite, pores… The benefits of dry brushing and how to get started?

Save it for later!

Brushing is a gesture that we have integrated daily into our routine (teeth, hair, etc.). However, body brushing is a fairly unusual practice and that’s a shame! Everyone who tries it quickly adopts it and can no longer do without it. Very good for health, it brings many benefits to the body and the epidermis. What are its benefits and how can you get started easily? We tell you everything, everything, everything about dry brushing!

What is dry brushing?

This method does exactly what its name says: we practice dry brushing of the skin! For this, we use very dense brushes made of natural bristles and larger than those commonly used on hair. They often have a long wooden handle that allows them to reach the back and the entire body easily. This is done in 5 minutes in the morning before going in the shower and/or in the evening with a few quick and precise movements. This little skin care and relaxation ritual offers drainage and stimulation for the body ! In short, it’s not just about having soft skin 😉

Visible effects on the beauty of the skin

The frictions carried out make it possible to exfoliate the skin and eliminate dead cells without the need to use any product. This allows you to have much more radiant and incredibly soft skin! In fact, dead skin makes the skin less silky! The effect is instant without harming sebum and the skin’s natural protective mechanisms. Furthermore, if you do it on the face (with a smaller and softer brush so as not to attack your skin), you will see an effect on the size of your enlarged pores and the clarity of your skin. Goodbye blackheads and irregularities… you have a new look!

Dry brushing has a convincing anti-cellulite effect

A large number of women who tried it saw a effect on the firmness of their skin and on the reduction of dimpling in the long term. Brushing actually tightens the epidermis and dislodge encrusted fats. For this (and as with any solution against cellulite), you must be regular. Furthermore, this must be combined with a healthy and varied diet (accompanied by plenty of water) and physical activity. The orange peel cannot resist it and once again, we save money, because there is no need to buy an expensive cream!

A detoxification of the skin, the body’s largest eliminatory organ!

Skin is not just packaging! It has many functions and one of the most important is theelimination of certain wastes, especially when our organs are overwhelmed and it must take over. It is at these times, for example, that we can have patches of eczema, more acidic sweating, spots… It therefore helps to see externally what is happening internally! So, dry brushing helps it perform this function. Thanks to his very positive effect on the lymphatic systemdry brushing allows excellent elimination of toxins. It’s also a good way to wash without using any product if you rinse well afterwards (and no… you don’t smell bad though!).

It is excellent for blood circulation and a real tonic for health

The movements performed go from bottom to top and therefore stimulate blood circulation, giving at the same time a big boost to the body all in the morning. In the evening, this gesture allows you to relax by calming stress and tension (like a massage!). This helps to improve the immune system and revitalize the entire body.

Choose your brush wisely

They are easily found in supermarkets in the same aisle as shower flowers and horsehair gloves. Otherwise, go to the cosmetics sections of organic stores or online where you can also buy them easily. Favor natural fiber bristles firm and soft, but not too rough. It is therefore preferable to go to the store to test it and ensure its quality. Finally, choose a brush with a long handle if you lack flexibility, this will allow you to reach each area easily without hurting your back.

Take the right actions

There are two schools: those who brush in small circular movements and those who go from bottom to top in lines. In any case, all movements are directed towards the center of the torso and therefore, the heart ! We start from the palms of the feet to go up along the leg then towards the buttock and from the palms of the hands towards the shoulder.

Note that you can start very slowly at first and make firmer movements when your skin is used to itthroughout the body. Indeed, your skin may turn pink at first (especially sensitive skin), this is normal! However, the goal is not to hurt yourself, so don’t force it unnecessarily and stay very gentle. And above all, always avoid injuries, sunburns, inflammations and tumors.
