Do you think honey is only good for pastries or to sweeten herbal teas and toast? This is a poor understanding of this ingredient, which is full of good components (minerals, organic acids, amino acids, enzymes, etc.)! It is antiseptic, antibacterial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. We have presented it to you countless times in our health remedies, but today, it’s really about beauty with 5 beauty recipes that you’re sure to love!
1) An express lip balm
On lips that can no longer stand the cold and are ultra dry and chapped, apply a layer of honey! It’s an excellent night mask to restore soft lips when you wake up and is perfect after a plane trip after which lips are often dry like ancient Egyptian papyrus. The challenge is just managing not to lick it, but remember that saliva dries out the lips.
2) A mask to purify the skin effectively and gently
In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon of green clay. Apply this preparation to previously moistened skin. Be sure to avoid the eye area. You can then leave this mask on for 10 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm clear water.
3) A simple scrub for the face and body
Tired of multiplying products? This scrub does it all! Add 4 teaspoons of powdered sugar to 4 tablespoons of liquid honey and stir. Rub this mixture on your skin to scrub away dead cells and rinse with lukewarm water.
4) A mask that hydrates the hair
Make a preparation using an egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil and of course 2 tablespoons of honey. Apply this to damp hair and leave on for 30 minutes before rinsing. Do not hesitate to cover your hair with a warm towel while applying the mask.
5) Rinse water to get shiny hair
Rinse water is applied as a final rinse to the entire hair after rinsing out the shampoo and treatments. To make one by diluting 1/2 teaspoon of liquid honey in 500 ml of lukewarm water (you can pour everything into a bottle so you can mix and use your treatment).
