And now, time for effortless oven cleaning!

What you need:

White vinegar (degreaser)

Baking soda (mild abrasive degreaser)

Sodium percarbonate (powerful degreaser and disinfectant)

The steps:

1) First, spray white vinegar on the walls of your hot oven.

2) Next, mix equal doses of bicarbonate and percabonate which you will sprinkle on the grill.

3) Then sprinkle this same grill with a glass of very hot water to dissolve encrusted grease even better.

4) Let the magic of your stripper work overnight.

5) The next day, it’s time to scrub a little (but not too much thanks to these effective products, phew!). Instead of using a sponge, you can DIY in fifteen minutes a rotating brush or use rolled aluminum ! In addition, you can take used aluminum foil as long as it is not too dirty. And we assure you: it rubs really well!

6) Finally, rinse well with clean water using a classic or tawashi sponge. Your oven will be like new after that!

Remember to take care of the oven racks, knobs and oven plates too. And if you have fireplace ashes on hand, don’t hesitate to use them to scrub the spatter on the oven walls. This allows you to clean effectively for an effective result without scratching too much.

With a few tips, you will not only be able to enjoy a clean oven effortlessly, but also maintain its cleanliness for longer. To start, for example, avoid overflows by carefully monitoring the cooking of your dishes. If you notice that food may boil over, adjust the temperature or rack position. This will prevent stains.

Also systematically use cooking protection. In particular, place baking trays, silicone baking mats or sheets of parchment paper on the oven rack. This helps collect spills and spills, making it easier to clean these items rather than the oven itself. Also use dishes with lids to prevent splashes and spills while cooking. Also choose baking utensils adapted to the size of your oven to reduce the risk of overflow. Finally use a non-stick liner designed for the bottom of the oven. It can protect the oven surface from splashes and residue, making regular cleaning easier.

Moreover, limit the excessive addition of fats, marinades or sauces which could splash and leave residues that are difficult to clean. If you still spill something in your oven while cooking, clean it as soon as possible, or even immediately. Fresh spills are actually easier to remove than baked-on stains which may require intense cleaning. Also, don’t forget to clean oven accessories regularly such as plates, grills and drip pans. This prevents residue from accumulating and carbonizing inside the oven.
