All the efforts we make to find stunningly clean tile joints can seem titanic. But we can sometimes wonder what the point of all this is when the dirt returns at the speed of light and the joints turn black even before our arm aches caused by rubbing have had time to disappear!
In fact, it’s not just good techniques to do less more efficiently than you need (like with the seven ultra-effective cleaning techniques we gave you where effort and the need to scrub are reduced). We also need to do prevention to avoid a too rapid return of dirt and mold. That’s good, that’s the subject of this article!
What you need:
- A candle in the color of the joints (often white in color)
The steps:
1) Thoroughly clean your tile joints and let them dry (or wipe).
2) Generously rub the joints with your candle. The wax will create a protective layer that will prevent mold from reestablishing itself too quickly.
