A simple technique for removing a candle wax stain

Save it for later!

In winter, we always appreciate the little touch of warmth that a candle brings to the decoration (that and the warm and delicious smell which is always a big plus). But when you put it all over the room or are clumsy, you can sometimes face small accidents. However, scraping the wax is not always enough to remove all traces… especially on a pretty carpet, clothing or even a tablecloth! What to do? We explain everything to you!

What you need:

  • Absorbent paper
  • A hot iron
  • Sommières soil (stain remover and absorbent)

The steps:

1) Start by trying to remove the biggest one by scraping off the dry wax.

2) Place absorbent paper on the remaining trace and place the iron on top to melt the wax.

3) Repeat several times with parts not soaked in absorbent paper.

4) Sprinkle with Sommières earth and leave to act overnight.

5) The next day, brush everything and vacuum up the residue. If necessary, put your garment or tablecloth in the washing machine.
