A kitchen is never safe from stains. And the worst are undoubtedly those that we don’t see at first glance, but which end up appearing once we have the misfortune of getting closer. And the nastiest traces are undoubtedly the traces of oil which are not visible at first glance although they dot your stove or the surrounding furniture and are found in large numbers on the microwave. Against these splash stains, the best solution is to fight fire with fire (or in this case remove the oil with oil).
And to prevent splashes and frying odors, check out this effective tip.
What you need:
- A few sheets of paper towel or a cloth
- Mineral oil
Vegetable oil can also work in the short term, but it turns yellow over time and becomes sticky. Therefore, prefer mineral oil, which you can also use on wood to protect it (cutting boards, salad bowls, etc.).
The steps:
1) Take a sheet of paper towel and pour a few drops of mineral oil on it.
2) Scrub the stains. They won’t put up much resistance!
3) Take another sheet of paper towel and wipe the cleaned area. This leaves the area barely oiled and will make future cleanings just as easy!
