- Dishwashing liquid or liquid soap
- White vinegar
The steps:
1) Empty the machine and the carafe of its water as well as the filter and coffee grounds from the day before which you can recycle in the garden or as a beauty mask. Rinse everything well.
2) Fill the coffee maker to the maximum with a mixture ofwater and white vinegar in equal parts. Then start the coffee maker and stop it halfway. Then leave for an hour.
3) Restart the coffee maker and let it finish the cycle. Discard the water-vinegar mixture.
4) Three timesyou will need to rinse the coffee maker with clean water without adding anything else, allowing it to cool a little between each cycle.
5) Meanwhile, clean the exterior, carafe and filters with hot, soapy water. When everything is clean and the flow is complete, reassemble. With this very effective cleaning, your cup of coffee will have incomparable aromas.
Cleaning the pod coffee machine
What you need:
The steps:
1) Turn off and unplug the machine.
2) Clean the removable parts with soapy water : the water tank, the tank cover, location for cups and pods (from which the coffee can be recovered and recycled). Then dry everything. Then do the outside with a cloth or sponge and dry everything.
3) Plug in the device. Pour a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar into the tank. Without adding a podpour in all the vinegar water until the tank is empty.
4) Fill the tank with clean water and do a rinse or two (always without a pod). This will remove traces of vinegar. Good coffee guaranteed!
Bonus: how to clean the coffee (or spice) grinder
Few people still own this type of device, but do those who do take good care of them? Coffee clumps, produces oil and moisture, and sticks together over time to become difficult to remove. The quality of the coffee ground in this way may suffer. The ideal is to spend a brush regularly to remove deposits. However, if you are confused, here is how to clean the coffee grinder. To do this, pour raw rice, bread, baking soda or sugar into the device. For the spice grinder, replace the sugar with salt. Then start to grind to powder. Finally, empty everything and scrub with a microfiber cloth.
