Save it for later!

Brushing your teeth after each meal is an essential daily gesture two to three times a day for our oral health. However, we often forget to clean our toothbrush. However, this gesture is just as hygienic, because the mouth is naturally a real nest for microbes. And with the humidity of the bathroom and the illnesses that we catch (especially in winter), it is not uncommon to find a large number of bacteria and fungi, even mold. And unfortunately, a simple rinse with hot water does not provide good toothbrush hygiene! As a result, this exposes us to contamination, particularly in cases of weak immunity. So, for impeccable oral hygiene, you must clean your teeth as well as the tool used to brush them. Here’s how to clean your toothbrush (or just the head of the electric toothbrush) in a few simple tips.

Of course, we all know that you need to rinse it well with hot water after brushing to remove food residue. However, the interview does not end there! Indeed, we must always think about the change every three months maximum to keep a brush efficient and healthy. This will effectively combat dental plaque which harms dental hygiene and will earn you an appointment with the dental surgeon to receive some dental care, including scaling!

Also, we will always favor a air dry upside down and without contact with other brushes. This way, we avoid spreading bacteria and encouraging mold. For this same reason, we do not put a cap on it and we do not keep it in an airtight case! These cases keep moisture and bacteria love it… So, we reserve them for travel. Finally, even if it is “mignon” et “romantic“, we must not never share your brush with your partner or anyone else. This promotes the exchange of bacteria and diseases.

4) 3% hydrogen peroxide

You can easily pour some into a glass and let the brush splash in it overnight. Following this, rinse well and repeat once a month.

5) Use your household appliances

The laziest and smartest will be happy to learn that they can simply put their brush in the dishwasher and let the device do the disinfecting and cleaning work for them. Otherwise, stay the microwave solution ! We put the brush in a glass of water and put everything in the microwave. For power and duration, we recommend one minute at 600W once a week.
