When you hate doing the dishes, the dishwasher seems like a real savior and it’s difficult to go back and do your dishes by hand afterwards. The advantage is that this device allows you to consume less water, but not all tablets are equal to obtain good results on your dishes without the need to iron behind them. If you want a super ecological, quick and inexpensive homemade recipe that also doesn’t make any waste, you’ve opened the right article! Its secret weapon is percarbonate which is a powerful stain remover that we have already told you about for reviving white linen and for tile joints! Here’s how to make these talented cubes.
What you need:
- 2 tablespoons of citric acid
- 2 tablespoons of soda crystals
- 2 tablespoons of REAL grated Marseille soap (we explain how to recognize it right here)
- 1 tablespoon of percarbonate (found online or in organic stores, often sold as stain remover salt in the laundry aisle)
- 10 drops of lemon essential oil
- Ice cube tray (preferably silicone)
These measurements allow you to make 5 shelves. Do not hesitate to multiply the doses to make a whole stock. Do not hesitate to bring a mask to protect your respiratory tract.
The steps:
1) Start by grating your soap very finely and mix the flakes obtained with the powders.
2) Then incorporate the lemon essential oil into your preparation.
3) Mix everything if your powder is not homogeneous enough (this can happen when you grate the soap incorrectly).
Important : Stop here if you want to keep the product in powder form. Follow the final steps below to make cubes.
4) Spray 2 or 3 pumps of water to give the powders a slightly damp, but not wet, feel. This will help mold them.
5) Pour everything into the ice cube tray, making sure to press the powder well to pack it.
6) Leave to dry for 30 minutes and unmold. It’s over! Use them like supermarket shelves.
