How to make your own natural homemade self-tanner?

Save it for later!

When winter and autumn are here, the arms and legs hide under thick clothing and do not get the sun. However, we like to look good all year round! And when the sunny days return, colorful skirts, dresses and tank tops make a comeback, which makes us want to wear some colors. To tan accordingly, you could of course sunbathe for a long time, but the sun accelerates the aging of the skin and can be harmful. In addition, it is impossible when the temperatures are not suitable. So, if you’re as white as an aspirin and wouldn’t say no to a beautiful tan, we have the solution: a natural homemade self-tanner that’s super easy to make (all without chemicals and with inexpensive ingredients) without the orange effect of supermarket products! It will be useful to you all year round!

What you need:

  • A white body cream (with natural ingredients or homemade is always better)
  • 4 bags of black tea
  • Optional for a darker, more pronounced tan: raw raw cocoa powder

Steps to make natural self-tanner:

1) Boil 250 ml of water then add your tea bags to let them steep for a few minutes. This step is important, because it is the tea which provides the pigments to color the skin.

2) When the color has developed well, let the infusion cool and remove the bags.

3) You can then apply the infusion directly to previously exfoliated skin using a cloth or mix it with cream for a moisturizing and enhancing effect in addition to tanning the skin. The quantities depend on the desired intensity: you can try with one dose of infusion for two of cream for example.

4) Let dry and repeat if necessary.

For a more intense effect: First mix the cream with the desired amount of cocoa powder. Then mix with tea as explained previously or use this preparation alone.
