The mixture of the day helps boost laundry and helps soften laundry effectively. In addition to not costing much to make and being easy to make, this mixture leaves the laundry bright and of course smelling fresh and more than divine, all with just three ingredients! We strongly advise you to choose quality essential oils. Sometimes the label says these oils are 100% pure (which is true), but some brands add fragrances and other substances, making the product not as natural as you might think. . Also be careful not to be allergic to the essential oil in question.
What you need:
- Sel d’Epsom
- 20 drops (or more) eucalyptus essential oil
- 15 drops (or more) lemon essential oil
- A large glass bottle (recycled is even better)
- A fairly fine funnel
What’s nice about this recipe is that you can change the essential oils and experiment with the smells!
The steps:
1) Fill the bottle two-thirds full with Epsom salt. Use the funnel to do this to avoid having pieces in your preparation and to avoid getting it everywhere. Then pour the salt into a container.
2) Add 10 drops of eucalyptus and 10 of lemon.
3) Mix well and put everything back into the bottle with your funnel.
4) Fill the rest of the bottle with salt, leaving space for mixing.
5) Add 10 more drops of eucalyptus and 5 of lemon.
6) Close the bottle and mix for a long time.
Normally, it is not necessary to add more essential oil as the smell spreads well in the salt and may be too strong. It’s better to use less than too much!
7) Sprinkle your clothes with it before starting the wash.
