Following a meal, you unfortunately notice that the glasses have left water stains on the table that you inherited from grandmother and here it is surrounded by ugly round and white marks which do not seem to have decided to leave, because they are well inlaid into the furniture finishes. Of course, “the best students” will happily point out that the use of a coaster would have avoided this problem, but a moment of inattention and a glass sitting on the table are enough to leave a stain on the wood! How to remove these stains? Many recommend the use of mayonnaise to leave on then wipe off. However, this is not the only tip! so here are three alternative techniques that will give you complete satisfaction.
1) Toothpaste against water stains on wood
You already know that the uses of tooth paste don’t just stop at the oral area… So you won’t be surprised to learn that you can use it on water stains. So, if you no longer have mayonnaise to remove water stains from wood, head to the bathroom to get some toothpaste! It’s just as effective. Favor a uncolored toothpaste rub with a clean cloth or sponge on the areas to be treated. Do not rub too hard so as not to attack the wood finishes.
2) Use a hair dryer for water stains on wood
Position your hairdryer on the strongest and hottest setting and pass it a few centimeters above the stains you want to remove. After a few moments, you will see the stain disappear as if by magic!
3) Otherwise, try using an iron and a cloth
Place a clean cloth or towel on the stain you want to treat. Next, set your iron so that it is very hot and pass it over the stain, always moving the iron. From time to time, lift the laundry to check the progress of the stain treatment and concentrate on difficult areas. The stain will quickly become a bad memory!
