The recipe for a product that hydrates and nourishes the skin to use in the shower

Save it for later!

Moisturizing and nourishing milks in the shower exploded on the market a few months ago with a simple promise: take care of your skin in the shower to avoid the tedious step of applying the cream… A godsend for the lazy who always forget this step or for those who don’t have the patience to wait for the cream to dry and finally stop sticking. It’s simple: you wash, rinse your skin, apply the milk and rinse again. Loving the idea, we are obliged to present to you a natural version that will make your skin soft this winter.

What you need:

  • 100 grams of shea butter
  • 15 grams of beeswax pellets
  • 40 grams of coconut oil
  • 30 ml of jojoba oil
  • 30 ml of aloe vera gel
  • Optional for the smell: 5 to 10 drops of essential oil that is non-irritating to the skin (lavender, etc.)

The steps:

1) Put the shea butter, wax and coconut oil in a bowl and melt everything in a bain-marie. Mix until everything is well melted and incorporated.

2) Remove everything from the heat and let cool and solidify a little for about half an hour.

3) When the texture has solidified and thickened a little, use an electric mixer to beat your preparation for a minute or two to make it lighter, airier and therefore easier to apply.

4) Add the last ingredients and beat everything again until you have the right texture and the mixture is perfect. Transfer the preparation into an empty, clean and sterilized bottle.

How to use it?

Take a shower and rinse as usual. Then apply product to your still wet body (a small amount is enough) and leave for a minute before rinsing with clean water and drying yourself. Your skin will be incredibly soft and smooth!
