We regularly offer you recipes to make your products with more natural products. Not only is it easy and quick, but it is also quite economical and ecological without ever leaving efficiency aside. In particular, we shared with you some recipes for ecological laundry detergents and homemade household products without harmful chemical substances. However, today’s product is a product that we use perhaps even more regularly (especially when we know its most unusual uses making it essential on a daily basis!). This is of course homemade dishwashing liquid! Note that this product does not foam as much as usual products. However, it remains a very effective homemade cleaner for degreasing. It’s just a little confusing at first. And above all, it’s good for the environment!
The ingredients of homemade dishwashing liquid:
50 g of grated Marseille soap or flakes without glycerin (which will prevent it from hardening)
1 tablespoon baking soda OR white vinegar
1 tablespoon of soda crystals (handle with gloves)
Optional: 1 tablespoon of liquid black soap
20 drops of essential oils chosen by you (we recommend lemon or grapefruit essential oil for the degreasing aspect and the good citrus smell, otherwise lavender or tea tree)
0.8 liters of boiling water
For the container: Glass bottle for a 100% zero waste product or plastic container for your previous dishwashing product
The steps:
1) Put the grated Marseille soap in a salad bowl.
2) Add the water and stir well to dissolve all the soap shavings.
3) Continue adding the soda crystals, baking soda and soap. Mix well. If the mixture is thick, you can use a mixer. Let everything sit for a few hours.
4) Finish by adding the chosen essential oil. Your eco-friendly product is ready!
Use it like regular dishwashing liquid. If the mixture solidifies (this can happen because of the soap), shake well and add a little hot water if necessary.
