Mold is an element that we never like to see in an interior… it must be said that there is nothing disgusting about it and that it is certainly not reassuring either in an environment that we would like to be healthy! So of course, it is always important to ask yourself why you have it (humidity problem, poor ventilation, etc.) to treat the problem at the source, but you also have to clean up these nasty traces.
To do this, we advise you to use an essential oil that is very antimicrobial, antibacterial and anti-fungus for an even more convincing result than with bleach (dangerous) or vinegar (which may be incompatible with certain stone showers). for example): tea tree essential oil.
What you need:
- Between 120 and 180 ml of water
- 20 drops of tea tree essential oil
- A spray bottle (glass and tinted is always better for essential oils)
The steps:
1) Start by pouring your water into the bottle. If you use less, the product will be more focusedbut keep a minimum rate so as not to waste essential oil by using it too pure unnecessarily.
2) Then add around twenty drops of essential oil to the bottle.
NB: You can use a dispersant neutral if you have one (oil does not mix well with water). To do this, why not dilute the drops in a little bicarbonate (another disinfectant) before diluting in water? Otherwise, use a small amount ofalcohol. Without this, it will simply be necessary mix the product frequently during treatment. In any case, mix it before each use.
3) Spray your solution on the area to be treated, leave to act for a few minutes and wipe with a cloth. For small, hard-to-reach corners, use a toothbrush. And for established mold, leave it to act for a few hours, or even overnight.
